Brief History Of Winvian Farm
Back in 1775, there was a man named Dr. Seth Bird. He was eccentric but a respected physician. He was known for bringing a coffin along on his house calls. Dr. Bird built a white clapboard covered with meadows and woods for his family in Connecticut.
The Smith family bought the historic Bird estate in 1948 and named it Win-Vian. Win-Vian is the combination of the first names of Winthrop Smith and Vivian, his wife. They raised their son, bountiful fruits and vegetables, and livestock on the property. The luxury Spa stands where the pigpens once did, but it offers a better kind of mud treatment.
Winvian Farm remains in the Smith family today, restored by Maggie Smith and Win Smith into a luxurious and unconventional place.

The Winvian Farm’s Executive Chef Chris Eddy creates fresh and spontaneous menus. He is leading a culinary innovation with his unique seed-to-table philosophy. He harvests non-GMO ingredients daily to create phenomenal menus. Almost everything served in the Winvian Farm is

Winvian Farm has a guest capacity of up to 250. Winvian Farm offers exclusive wedding night occupancies in the entire venue. So, you get to experience to stay in its 18 cottages such as a two-level treehouse 10 meters off the ground, a lighthouse in the middle of the forest, a lodge
built around a massive oak tree, camp in the forest, a 1968 Sikorsky Sea King chopper for an aviation enthusiast, and a lot more.
Each cottage has classic and not-so-traditional extravagances such as king-sized beds, patio, astounding Jacuzzi, steam showers, fireplaces, BOSE stereo systems, flat-screen TVs, and other treats that you expect from a luxurious hotel.

The Intimate Wedding
Winvian Farm offers an Elopement Package for a couple, which can be upgraded to a Petite Wedding Collection with additional guests.
The package includes a two-night stay for the bride and groom in a cottage of your choice, farm-to-table breakfast for two each morning, $250 Winvian Spa Credit per cottage, Chef Eddy’s Five Course Tasting Menu, and the on-site ceremony. The cost varies at two different rates:
Midweek and Weekend.
Midweek Rates vary from $2,863 to $3,063 per couple. While Weekend Rates vary from $2,913
to $3,713 per couple.
Your Winvian Wedding
Winvian Farm offers the exclusivity to make you feel the extravagance of a duchess and a duke in this rustic yet chic and elegant wedding.
You and your guests will have the exclusive use of 18 astonishing different-themed cottages and splendid Hadley Suite. Adore your intimate ceremony on the Seth Bird Meadow or West Meadow followed by a sumptuous and festive reception in Gordon Brown House. The 2021 Wedding Collection has a property fee of $12,000, an on-site ceremony of $2,000, and a
five-hour reception of $215 per guest.
The package includes a five-hour premium open bar, non-alcoholic beverages, and signature cocktails. This exclusive wedding is required to book all of the 19 accommodations for a minimum of 2 nights with custom rates upon request.
