Brief History Of Priam Vineyards
Priam Vineyards was first created in 1998, and in 2002, it became a licensed farm winery, it began selling wines in April 2003, and in September 2010, it became the first solar-powered winery in New England. The vineyard was named after Andrew Priam, the owner’s grandfather.
As a premier Connecticut wedding venue, Priam Vineyards offers an array of features. But perhaps, what sets it apart from others is the unique microclimate of the hills of London County. The climate is very similar to the Alsatian region of northern France and St. Croix (it sure gives you that European feel)!
Another highlight of this event is the space itself. If you choose to have an intimate or a grand wedding, roominess will never be a problem. Plus, this is a world-class vineyard and winery — you will experience that excellence and attention to detail you are surely looking for.
Accommodations for Ceremonies
Priam Vineyards wedding venue offers packages to accommodate 75 to 500 guest events, and they promise to include all details of your wedding in a singular complete package. Their small wedding package allows for 30-65 guests while their tented wedding packages require a minimum of 75 guests on Friday and Sunday and 125 minimum guests on Saturday.
Pricing, Packages, and Potential Fees
Rental fee varies all the way from $1,750 to $10,580 depending on the day of the week, space, guest count, etc according to Here Comes The Guide. You can expect to pay from $104-$128/person for meals and there’s an automatic 22% gratuity charge which is pretty standard for venues.
Since this is such an in-demand wedding venue, they have a minimum number of guests, depending on the day of the weekend and time of year. As of this writing, the website encourages potential clients to set an appointment and have a site tour. Then, the Priam Vineyards wedding venue will present a customized, complete quote for your desired dates, including a catering fee, wine package, and site fee.
