The Horace Parmelee House was built in 1847 and was transformed into a bed and breakfast known as “Farm in the Dell” in the 1950s. In the 1960s, the owners operated a major turkey farm, which produced many thousands of free-range turkeys annually. Today, the property is owned by the Town of Killingworth. It is open daily from dawn to dusk for general admission but may be gated for certain events, including private weddings.
