Brief History Of L'Escale Restaurant

Located in the historic Delamar Greenwich Harbor Hotel, L’Escale adapts the same classic ambiance of Provence and brings it to Connecticut’s Gold Coast. The restaurant was established by Rick Wahlstedt in 2003 and L’Escale eventually became a landmark on its own through the award-winning menu exclusively designed by Executive Chef Frederic Kieffer. At present, it is one of the top choices for upscale waterfront wedding venues in Connecticut.

Noteworthy Features

Since L’Escale is part of the Delamar Greenwich Harbor Hotel, you will get to enjoy the convenience of having an elegant bridal suite right by your wedding venue. The luxury hotel offers spacious, relaxing rooms which you and your guests can easily access to and from the restaurant. Plus, the hotel gives discounts for bulk bookings of ten rooms or more!

Accommodations for Ceremonies

L’Escale offers three indoor reception areas and one outdoor option. Intimate gathers of 100 guests or less may opt for the Deauville Banquet Room or half of the Antibes Ballroom. Meanwhile, those who are expecting up to 350 guests can make use of the full 2,000 SQM Antibes Ballroom. It is connected to the outdoor Terrace venue which can host up to 300 guests and is perfect for cocktails on the first hour of your reception. A few steps down from the Terrace is the private dock for yachts and boats that will bring your guests to and from the venue. You may also consider sailing out after the reception programme and treat it as your after-party.

The ceremony is usually held in the ballroom as well. Its long aisle and large windows that perfectly frame the water makes it the ideal spot to hold your wedding rites. However, you may opt to set it up at the outdoor terrace for some fresh air and an equally stunning view.

Parking won’t be an issue as the venue provides free valet for all your guests and your bridal car.
