Francis S. Kinney built the Kinney Bungalow in 1899. He was a tobacco and real estate millionaire. Kinney Bungalow was built to host parties following polo matches.
Kinney Bungalow was bought by the Chase/Ewing family after Kinney’s death. In addition to being a rehearsal site for the American Ballet Theater, Kinney Bungalow was a venue for numerous celebrations, dances, and parties.
It was in 1991 when the Town of Narragansett acquired Kinney Bungalow and the Sunset Farm. Narragansett Land Conservancy Trust manages the property today. It was finally opened to the public in 2002 when they had finished renovating the property.

Kinney Bungalow offers two event packages: a four-hour rental and an eight-hour rental package.
The four-hour rental varies from $475 to $1750. Rentals from Mondays through Thursdays for non-residents cost $750 and $450 for the residents. Rental for Fridays and Sundays is $1425 for non-residents and $925 for residents, while the cost for a Saturday event is $1750 for non-residents and $1200 for residents.
The eight-hour rental varies from $950 to $3500. Rentals from Mondays through Thursdays for non-residents cost $1500 and $950 for the residents.
