About Joshua and Drew
Joshua and Drew’s journey, which began in their college days at Johnson and Wales when a game invite led to their unexpected bond, culminated in a wedding that perfectly reflected their geeky passions. As their wedding photographer, I had the privilege of capturing moments from a celebration that seamlessly integrated board games as table centerpieces, highlighting their shared love for gaming. Drew’s affinity for Anime and Star Wars and Josh’s love for Pokémon and Harry Potter resonated throughout, making the event even more special with their energetic guests participating with enthusiasm.
The ceremony
The ceremony was an intimate affair inside the venue. During the ceremony Their mother did a fantastic job singing for their entrances and exit. It was a real tear-jerker.
They decorated the area with soooooo many geeky toys, games, and decor, which I loved. The reception was in the main hall at Lake Pearl – I love this venue because the staff there was fantastic to work with and soooo accommodating for the couple. Weddings at Lake Pearl are amazing, because they’re always so lovely.
