Brief History Of Heritage Homestead

The expansive estate is a family-owned property which they have converted into one of the most romantic outdoor wedding venues in Connecticut. Currently, it is operated by three generations of family living and working in the farm to help you host an amazing celebration of love.

Noteworthy Features

Heritage Homestead boasts of its unique and charming ambiance that’s unlike other outdoor wedding venues in Connecticut. The 80-acre wedding venue is exclusively yours for the duration of your set-up, ceremony, and reception so you will get to fully maximize the entire property and all its beauty. Another element that makes it extra special is how they treat couples and guests as family, being a family-owned and operated estate.

Accommodations for Ceremonies

This charming wedding venue in Connecticut caters to only one wedding per weekend so it guarantees that you will receive utmost attention from their dedicated event staff. You may choose a specific area within the estate on where you would like to hold your wedding rites and host your reception. Commonly, receptions are held at the Pavilion which is a covered area that makes it more comfortable for guests. They can accommodate either a sit-down dinner for 120 guests or a cocktail style reception for 200 people in the Pavilion. However, if you’re planning to have a much larger wedding, they would recommend having tents which will be able to seat more than 120 persons.

Pricing, Packages, and Potential Fees

According to their website, Heritage Homestead charges a venue rental fee of $5,500. This includes use of the entire estate for 27 hours, from 12 noon of your set-up day up to 3:00 in the afternoon of the following day. This will give you and your vendors more than enough time to settle in, style your specific ceremony and reception areas, and take a lot of pictures. Also included in the package are fuel power hook-up, use of the Pavilion, and a dedicated event staff to assist on your special day. Food and beverages, tables, chairs, linens, sound system, entertainment, event coordinator, wedding cake, venue styling, and all other elements of your wedding will not be provided by the venue.

Furthermore, couples are required to pay for a venue liability insurance policy which costs approximately $185. You may also request to add on a few decorative elements from Heritage Homestead, such as a vintage tailgate with their 1950s wagon or sky lanterns to make your wedding look even more magical.

Check out their website to learn more about the specific details of their wedding package so you can start planning the outdoor wedding you’ve always dreamt of.
