Brief History Of Graduate New Haven

Graduate New Haven wedding venue was originally the Hotel Duncan, which was a 92-room single-room-occupancy hotel founded in 1894. The property was sold by the former owner, Stirling Shapiro in 2017 and was rebranded as a college-themed 72-room boutique establishment. It aims to preserve some of the structure’s historic original designs and features. Today, it is a favorite wedding destination among couples who are looking to add college vibes to their nuptials.

Noteworthy Features

This historic Connecticut wedding venue has a lot to offer. But if I were to pick one or two, the first one has to be the location itself. You are steps away from Yale University, the city’s best art galleries, shops, restaurants, and don’t forget one of the largest indoor athletic facilities in the United States, Yale’s Payne Whitney Gym.

Second, the well-preserved woodwork, stained-glass fixtures, and the original designs and features dating back to 1894 are too significant to ignore. Who wouldn’t want to have these elements as the backdrop for their wedding?

Accommodations for Ceremonies

Graduate New Haven wedding venue gives you classic New England tavern feels! This amazing estate can accommodate up to 55 seated guests for wedding ceremonies and up to 75 seated guests for receptions. For cocktails, the hotel has a capacity of up to 75 standing guests.
