Brief History Of Candle Light Farms Inn
Jessica and Carl Dunham, Sr. acquired the Farm in 1941. During that time, there was no electricity on the
mountain, and their lighting was made possible by none candlelight (hence, the name). The owner’s son, Carl
Dunham, Jr. has committed his life to creating a vision for this estate — a beautiful place where guests can have
absolute tranquility, spirituality, and well-being. He pictured the Farm to be a place that promotes a peaceful
atmosphere. His efforts ultimately paid off. Today, Candle Light Farms Inn is regarded as one of the most
picturesque locations in Western Connecticut.
One of the things every couple wants when looking for a venue is how its employees treat their clients, right? You
would want someone to share your vision for your wedding and help you turn your event into a unique wedding
experience. Candle Light Farms Inn ensures you will have someone to be with you onsite on your wedding day.
Since this property offers exclusivity, you can enjoy full access to this Connecticut wedding venue for your
ceremony, reception, and other activities. You can also marvel at the panoramic grounds, create lasting
memories, and take snapshots of your experience with your partner and guests all weekend. Should you choose either the Exclusive Wedding Weekend or the Dream Wedding package, you can rehearse
your wedding ceremony at the Lower Barn or Clubhouse. You’d want your entourage to move as effortlessly as
possible on your big day, so rehearsing is a must!
Accommodations for Ceremonies
Candle Light Farms Inn offers several wedding packages, but two of their best are the Exclusive Wedding
Weekend and Dream Wedding. The first option gives you full access to the property all weekend and can
accommodate up to 350 guests. You will also have access to 5 rooms in the Inn on Friday and Saturday night
(but take note that they will only allow up to two persons in each room). If you have more than 10 guests who
want to stay on the property, they may camp out and have a night of stargazing in this top-notch Connecticut
Pricing, Packages, and Potential Fees
Their ultimate wedding weekend package starts at $15,000 plus 10 percent service charge. An additional $10 per
person will apply for weddings over 175 guests. If you have more than 120 guests, the property will require you to
have a restroom trailer. And if your guest list exceeds 90 people, you will have to rent a tent. For more
