ANTHONY’S OCEAN VIEW NEW HAVEN WEDDING
Lillian and Damon got married at Anthony’s Ocean View, which is a super nice venue in New Haven with ocean views. It was such a fun wedding and even the rain didn’t dampen the day!
The ceremony was an intimate affair in a gazebo. During the ceremony we actually had to light the ceremony by cell phones. It was surprisingly a VERY fun way to get everyone involved and to make the wedding even more intimate.
The area was also lit by huge torch lights, which I loved. The reception was in a beautiful room at Anthony’s Ocean View – I love this venue because the food is incredible (warning…you are going to hear that a lot lol). Weddings at Anthony’s Ocean View are amazing, because the staff is just wonderful.
Anthony’s Ocean View is perfect for anyone who loves the seaside, and is one of the best places to get married in New Haven. The venue offers seriously good food – and there is a stunning beach that’s perfect for photos.
The couple had an absolutely MASSIVE array of food in the afternoon, and also a MASSIVE desert selection at night, lol am I focusing too much on the food? But seriously though the staff at Anthony’s were soooo useful on that day because of bad weather we were very limited on what could be done because we were caught in the middle of it, but they made the best of the situation and everything came out fantastic! For dinner they had proper wedding grub, and the first dance was so cute because it was a song that the groom wrote about the bride (but someone else sang it). They finished off the evening with some super cute rituals such as filling up jars with sand to mark each family member.
Lillian wore a very elegant classic white dress with a super long tail and Damon wore a very classy gray suit and they looked seriously stunning together.
The couple got in touch with me last year, and their inquiry was so fun. They said they wanted a relaxed photographer, and I loved that they were so easy going. But these two were an absolute blast to work with and as of writing this I have the pleasure of shooting a maternity shoot for them tomorrow, so congrats to these two!
If I was to give one big of advice for planning your wedding at Anthony’s it would be first….don’t worry too much about backup plans if there’s bad weather. They can accommodate you and while you might miss out on some of those great beach shots that night when working with me that’s not an issue! Why is that so? Well when booking with me most of my packages offer an emergency shoot, so as long as we can arrange a time with the venue to let us back onsite we can always take those photos on a nicer day!
I loved shooting this wedding here so much! Lillian and Damon were a blast to work with and I can’t wait for many more shoots with them!
