Brief History Of 19 Main

19 Main is formerly The United Bank Building built right after the Great Fire in 1902. It housed two banks– the New Milford Savings Bank and the New Milford First National Bank. Over the years, it remained to be a facility occupied by banks with the Webster Bank being its most recent tenant. In 1982, it was listed at the National Register of Historic Places as an official landmark. However, the rest of the building had not been used in the last few decades which led to the structure’s decline. Finally in 2015, Village Green Investments took over the property and developed it into an elegant wedding venue.

Noteworthy Features

Even through the renovations, the timelessness and class of the old United Bank Building was preserved and incorporated into the modernized styling of 19 Main. Inside, you will find three vaults from the former banks that used to occupy the building. They are a reminder of the building’s rich history while serving as remarkable details that add character to the wedding venue.

Accommodations for Ceremonies

Receptions are accommodated in any of the banquet rooms of this elegant wedding venue, depending on the number of guests and the package that you will choose. They offer various sizes of tables paired with dark wooden chairs, linen, and table napkins of your choice. Some packages include provisions of glassware, silverware, and China as long as you book one of the venue’s preferred caterers. To make things even more convenient, those who avail the expanded and complete wedding packages will receive a custom floor plan design.

The ceremony, on the other hand, may also be held in one of the reception halls of 19 Main. Included in the set up are dark wooden chairs for the guests and an arch at the center of the room, right by the large paned windows for the couple.
